After neighbors complained about a proposed dog spa and boarding facility in LaVista the developer has sniffed out a new location. This time in west Omaha.

Paw Spa developer Kevin Irish has the plans and location he believes will make his dog resort the neighbors’ best friend. Irish said, “I think the neighbors will like us because everything is inside. Everything is inclusive, so we won’t have a noise issue.”

The new 18,000 square foot dog grooming and boarding kennel on two acres in west Omaha will have a major design difference from the existing Paw Spa in Sarpy County.

Up to a 100 pets a day won’t need to get out of the dog house.

“Air handling is huge to us, we change out the air four times an hour. We have a flushing system for the inside relief,” Irish explained.

Six On Your Side let business neighbors know what’s planned on the empty land next door. Duane Salonen with Dale Carnegie Training said, “Free enterprise is what we are all about, but they can run a business there in west Omaha and it works them good for them.”
